A Welcome Message from Miss Froggatt, the Head Teacher

Welcome to Manea Community Primary School Website. I hope it will enable you to find the information you are looking for, as well as giving you a real insight into what a happy place of learning Manea Community Primary School is. We look forward to hearing what you think!

We are a community school in the heart on Manea village and caters for children from 4 to 11 years old. We use our Fenland location as a basis to enhance children's first hand experiences and develop our curriculum. The governors are also responsible for Manea Preschool attached to the school which takes children from the age of 3. We were delighted when our Ofsted Inspectors agreed with our school self evaluation and saw the progress our school has made judging it to be a good school with outstanding early years.

We are a school that loves outdoor learning as well as indoor learning and have established an enquiry approach to learning from Early Years and Key Stage 1. Our school is an inclusive school that uses the children's own interests and family experiences to build learning opportunities. We are delighted to be a Forest School where children learn and develop skills in a variety of outdoor sessions including knife work and making fires. This develops their confidence and self esteem through hands on learning experiences in our local woodland and our natural environment.

Our school was awarded the Rainbow Flag in 2019 following work on challenging stereotypes, celebrating difference and understanding and tackling prejudice.

The school is filled with wonderful displays and lots of children's work to celebrate their achievements. The children that attend Manea Community Primary School are proud of their school and enjoy talking about their learning.
