Literacy:
This week in Literacy we have been reading the last of the Percy stories. This then inspired us to write a new adventure for Percy. Percy went to the seaside, had a trip to the moon and a visit to the cinema! We have also been practicing writing speech for characters from the Percy stories and imagining what they are saying to each other. We have done this using both speech bubbles and inverted commas.
Maths
This week in maths we have been practising our addition skills. We have been using jottings to support us in showing our working out and to solve problems.
In year 1 we have been thinking about counting on, and thinking about how we can solve missing number sentences.
In year 2 we have been learning about how to exchange when crossing ten. We know that we need to worry about our 1's first and if they are greater than 10, we can exchange them for a ten.
