This week we have been learning about reading scales. We have been learning to read scales where not all numbers are shown.

 

We started out by exploring scales with marks showing jumps of 2, 5 and 10. We had to use our 2, 5 and 10 counts to help us work out the answers.

 

We then challenged ourselves to explore reading between the marks on the scales. This was trickier, but we persevered and have enjoyed tackling this challenge.

 

We also explored scales where the marks showed halves.
