This week our learning walk was to find out how to be Flying Doctors! We have decided to create a castle and look after the King, A cage to help look after the reindeer with a broken leg, some hot chocolate to make the lion feel better and some special sun cream to help the mermaid feel better. What superstars!

In other learning we are finding out about combining two groups in our maths work, writing lists using our sound knowledge (even using digraphs!) and continuing our work finding out about the Chinese New Year. We are also developing the celebration into a dance with our own take on Chinese New Year music!

Our Chinese New Year Celebrations
We have worked very hard continuing our work on understanding different celebrations. We have found out about the different animals that the years are named after and the way that the New Year is celebrated. During out work we have created our own celebration dances, followed instructions to create a dragon dance, made lanterns, created celebration fireworks in our forest school work, made dragon puppets and spiral dragons! It has been great fun and we especially enjoyed creating our own style of celebration music!
