Literacy:
This week we have started our dragon topic. After our exciting discovery of a dragon next in the school grounds last week! Year 1 have been reading Zog and Year 2 have been reading The Egg and Pet Dragon.
Mathematics:
This week we have been learning about multiplication. Year 1 have been grouping and and counting in 2s and Year 2 have begun to write multiplication number sentences and looking at the connection with repeated addition.
Foundation:
This week the children have been learning sketching skills and have practiced this by creating dragon scales using hatching, cross hatching and stippling. We have also looked at the artist L.S Lowry who was famous for sketching matchstick people in his work.
