Number

We are continuing with doubling this week.  Doubling is when you add the same number to the same number.  Ie 4+4, 3+3, 2+2

What is double 5?  What is double 6?

Investigate how many numbers you can double – make sure you could the total carefully!

When you get your answer – try and share it between two groups equally – it should always work!

Activities:

• Recap what you have learnt already about the ducks.  What else would you like to know about them?  Where can you find it out?  See what your family can help you with
• Can you add pages for the book with new information?
• Look at the photos of the ducks on the website – how have they changed?  What can you see that is different?  The same?
• Can you write a caption about the ducks.  Use the keywords from our keyword page on the website and then your sounds for the other words
• Can you create a play area for the ducks?  What would you put in it?  Use what you have learnt about them in your planning
